You could say my interest in hair began as a teenager. I used to give my friends haircuts and, in some cases, color their hair using wild colors. Looking back… what can I say? It was the 80s, and my early influencers were punk bands, which is the music I was into at the time.
I pride myself on creating one-of-a-kind looks. To me, this is achieved when you combine art, design, and being creative, which I believe is everything a good haircut should entail.
Men’s hair is a particular passion of mine. After graduation from cosmetology school, I did an apprenticeship that focused heavily on men’s hair. As a result, this became a leading focus in my career. That being said, if you look at my clientele, you will see a variety of men’s and women’s styles that run the gamut from the classics to current trends.
Hair is not a job to me, it’s my living canvas.
Industry Experience
Michael received his formal training at Toni & Guy and went on to receive extensive training with Bumble and Bumble, Wella, and Kevin Murphy. He continues to seek out continued education.

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
Yes, I paint artwork that I hang in my home. One of my favorite paintings, a rooster, was also featured in a coffee table book. They were there to photograph a unique room I had designed that was all done in fur and the rooster painting was on the wall in the room they were photographing.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Ice cream. I love chocolate chip mint.
